'lo there. Yes, I am all of the above. If you're prepared to listen to me droning about the things I like, dislike, why and why not, then go right ahead. But I'm not paying for the time you waste. :)

To start with, I'm (in principal at least) in charge here at aUHQ. It is up to me to do anything involving news or press releases. If it's news, I take care of it. I'm in charge of HTML, layouts, ideas etc. etc. which are all cleared by Pete before inclusion in the site. I leave it to Pete to turn my layouts into reality with some nice graphics, and the small a capital U idea was all his own.

We live seperate from our parents in an upstairs flat. Not being sent to hell and back doing errands now that we've moved gives us a lot more time for the site, as well as things like the programming which I like to do. Stick a copy of Blitz Basic in my hands and you won't get it back for a while. Actually you would. I have Blitz Basic, on floppy and compact disc. :)

When I'm not messin' around on my Amiga creating websites or playing Quake (NEVER deathmatch '040 vs. '060, take my advice, the slower machine ALWAYS loses), I like to sit down and watch the TV. Friends is great, as is South Park, but please, oh please, don't sit me down in front of any soap opera. Even Eastenders (which long term visitors might remember me being a fan of) has lost it's appeal. My second great love is, as mentioned above, football. I was as disappointed as any red-and-white blooded Englishman when we crashed out of France '98, especially after the Simeone dive (I prefer not to think of it as Beckham being sent off, but Simeone GETTING him sent off). Had that not happened, the game was in our pocket.

Straying away from the international scene of things, I'm a great fan of Manchester United (like 90% of the world apparently), but I don't blindly follow them to the point of having no respect for other teams. After a visit to Spain in 1997 I became a Real Madrid supporter also. So, at least one of my teams got something right this season. While football may be the one sport I will watch on TV, it's not the one sport I play. Although it doesn't happen very often, I do like to bang a ball about on a tennis court, or go to court for a good game of badminton once in a while. I'm not all too sporty, so the role of substitute or goalkeeper best suits me in your good ol' game of footy. And yes, before anyone asks, FIFA have ruined the game. Just ask Roberto Carlos.

I used to watch Formula One, but for some reason, stopped. I can't remember why, but as soon I as did, McLaren stopped winning. Maybe I'm a counter balance on Murray Walker's jinxing comments or something I don't know.......

Off the pitch, off the court, off the computer, I confess, I don't get up to much. While all my friends are away at nightclubs or whatever, Mr. "I'm a social outcast and I don't care" here just spends a quiet night in. Just me, Peter, a pint glass of Coca-Cola and anyone who arrives after 6 'o clock. From there it's Quake or Final Doom (depending on the mood of the competitors and their readiness to blame my machine for their defeat ;), right up until about 8:30pm, which is when the first of any one of up to five competitors leaves this place. The average deathmatch night involves a round robin of me, Peter, Dave, and our most excellent friends Chris Dixon and Craig Robinson. Chris used to own an Amiga, and Craig wants to own an Amiga. Craig currently owns a PlayStation, as does Dave, and both are screaming for a version of Quake on that Sony box of tricks which can be linked. Apparently for a fair playing field....... why I don't know. :)

Anyway, you came to this website to read about Amigas, not their users. So, I'll put this politely ;) : Go away, leave me alone and do what you came here to do. And then accept my apologies for being so rude. :)
